"As a teacher, I expect excellence from each student. Each student is unique and each has their own personal best. Their very best is what I require. I believe I am a role model for my students. I must choose to be a good one because they are watching. I believe visual art gives students a chance to communicate their ideas and feelings. Art affects us every day whether we choose to see it or not. I hope that as a teacher I can help open their minds to new creativity that they did not think was possible. I believe when students start to see what they are capable of, they have more confidence and are more successful. I hope that through visual art I can help students achieve in everything they do."
