SPRING CONCERT UPDATE

A concert for Chorus and Orff is rescheduled for May 21st in conjunction with the JLA Art Walk.  The Art Walk begins at 5:30 p.m. and the Chorus and Orff concert will begin at 6:30 p.m.

JLA's Spring Carnival was a great success, thanks to the many community partners including the Fayette County Sheriff's Department, Lexington Police, Lexington Fire Department, Village Library, The First Tee, Fayette County Health Department, Community Action Council, the YMCA, Cash Express, Gardenside Christian Church and Gardenside Post Office who provided representatives, information and goodies. There were 52 silent auction items!  

We would like to thank the many businesses and organizations who generously donated goods and activities to our silent auction.  These include Ale-8, Bakery, Blessings & Bookstore, Bluegrass Baking Company, Barefoot Works Yoga, Broadway Baptist Church, Cincinnati Museum Center, Cincinnati Reds, Chad Huffman, artist, Champs, Chick-fil-A, Clothes Mentor, City Barbeque, Cruise-N-Cuts, Dominos, Fazoli's, Goodfella's, Good Foods Coop, Gymboree Play & Music of Lexington, Howard Knight Tall & Big, Joseph Beth Booksellers, Moe's Southwest Grill, Mr. Sparkle Car Wash, Once Upon a Child, Plato's Closet, PNC, Shuffle Bean Coffee, Starbucks, Sunshine Grow Shop (Zandale), and Super Mercado (Zandale).  

JLA is grateful to everyone for their participation in making the Spring Carnival a successful event!

Snow Day Makeup Plan

On April 20th we added 30 minutes to the end of the school day.  Dismissal begin at 3:05 p.m.

We will also have school on the following days:

April 10

May 28

May 29  (Last Day)

There will be no school on Election Day (May 19) and Memorial Day (May 25).

Congratulations to the JLA STLP Team and Ms. Kennedy!  Two teams qualified for the State Championship at Rupp Arena on March 26, 2015.  Our team that presented about Eye of the Tiger News brought home some hardware!  Check it out below!  Go Tigers!!

Families - If you need to do a transportation change for your child you will either need to come to the office and fill out a new form or send a note.  We need the change in writing.  We do not take changes over the phone.  Thanks for your help with this.

Doors open at 7:15 a.m. and breakfast is served until 7:35 a.m.

At 7:45 a.m. the school day officially begins.

Dismissal starts at 3:05 p.m.
